Shiv Nadar University Scholastic Aptitude Test (SNUSAT) & Academic Proficiency Test (APT) is a combined 3 hour test that is conducted online through Pearson VUE (Virtual University Enterprises) for Admission to Undergraduate programmes in Shiv Nadar University. The exam is conducted once a year to admit students into research-led multi-disciplinary institutions under SNU. SNU was first founded in1994 as Shiv Nadar Foundation (SNF) which created its first initiative, Shri  SivaSubramanya  Nadar College of Engineering (SSNCE)  in Chennai . The SNF decided to establish a unique research-led interdisciplinary university which it achieved in 2010 in 286 acre land near Dadri as its campus. The University’s undergraduate syllabus was the best & unique in India. The University was established by the Act no. 12 of 2011 of State Legislature of Uttar Pradesh as a State Private University, and was empowered by the UGC to award degrees under Section 22 of the UGC Act, 1956. The University started the Engineering Majors in the academic year 2011–12 with the approval of the AICTE. The University is currently registered with DSIR, Government of India as a Research Institution.

3.Eligibility

Board Exam Eligible Criteria
1. Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, National Institute of Open Schooling, Orissa, Tamil Nadu, Telangana 75% marks in aggregate in 12th Board Exam (excluding non-academic subjects)
2. CBSE, ISC 70% marks in aggregate in 12th Board Exam (excluding non-academic subjects)
3. Assam, Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Punjab 65% marks in aggregate in 12th Board Exam (excluding non-academic subjects)
4. Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jammu and Kashmir, Maharashtra, Mizoram, Rajasthan, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, West Bengal 60% marks in aggregate in 12th Board Exam (excluding non-academic subjects)
5. IB curriculum Aggregate score of 32 with a minimum 4 in every course. Refer to list for mandatory subjects.
6. Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) Percentage Uniform Marks same as CBSE

Requirements for SNUSAT:

  1. Application form must be completed online within the given time limit.
  2. Application fee must be paid either online / offline through DD format.
  3. Documents required for SNUSAT include 10th class mark list, Driving License, Adhar Card & 10+2 Exam Admit Card.
  4. Recent photo graph with given specifications to upload in to the form.

4.Exam pattern

  1. All Questions will be of Multiple Choice Question (MCQ)
  2. The SNUSAT is a Computer Based Test (CBT)
  3. The SNUSAT section will have Verbal reasoning, Quantitative Ability, Abstract Reasoning & Essay.
  4. Academic Proficiency Test APT will have Physics & Maths.
  5. No negative Marking for wrong answers.
  6. The time limit would be 180 Minutes or 3hrs.
  7. It will be conducted in 2 sessions, i.e. 1.SNUSAT

6.Important dates

SNUSAT accepts student’s admission on the basis of JEE scores of Students. The dates for students seeking admission with JEE score are :

7.SNUSAT 2020 Application Process

SNUSAT 2020 Application window will open on April 01, 2020 for all UG courses. Candidates can apply in online mode for SNUSAT 2020 before April 15, 2020 for round1 and June 04 for round2. The candidates are advised to fill the SNUSAT and APT 2020 application form online without any error and wrong information because if any information is found out to be incorrect at a later stage, admission of the candidate will be cancelled

7.1 Steps to Fill Online SNUSAT 2020

Registration – Firstly, the candidates will have to register using their name, date of birth, gender, nationality, mobile number and email id. The login password will be sent to the registered email id of the candidates.
Filling of Application Form – Next, candidate have to provide his / her personal, education, qualifying exam details and contact details. After the details are submitted, the application number will be generated.
Payment of Application Fee – The candidates have to pay the required application fee Online through net banking/credit card/debit card.
Uploading of Photograph and Signature – The scanned images of the candidate’s photograph and signature have to be uploaded according to the specifications mentioned by the authorities. After the uploading will be done, the candidates have to submit their application form.
Schedule Test – After successful payment of fees, the candidate will receive an email containing user ID, password and a URL containing to schedule your test with Pearson VUE.

7.2 The candidates must keep the following points in mind

1.Fill the application form with correct information

2.Do not leave any field marked mandatory

3.Incomplete form will be rejected

4.Upload a passport size photo of self, not more than three months old

5.Check the duly filled form before clicking on save/submit key

6.Once the form is submitted it cannot be edited

7.Pay SNUSAT and APT fee online and make sure to save the acknowledgment details

8.Save a copy of the duly filled form for future actions.

8.Admission process

Candidates above 89 percentile score in JEE Mains (2020) will be eligible for waiver of SNUSAT & APT and can be offered admissions on the basis of JEE Mains (2020) score and cutoff score decided by the University. If the candidate is not selected through JEE Mains (2020) the application will be considered on the basis of their Class XII scores provided they appear for SNUSAT & APT

Candidates who have scored below 89 percentile in JEE Mains (2020) are advised to apply through Class XII scores and by appearing for SNUSAT & APT

  • The candidates can schedule their SNUSAT & APT even before their Class XII result is declared
  • Applying early increasing the chances of a candidate getting his/her preferred stream
  • The selection criteria/cut off is at the sole discretion of the University
  • Admission to particular program is at the sole discretion of the University
  • he Offer of Admission is provisional subject to meeting the basic eligibility criteria as defined by the University
