i. Choice of your college & your result
Results are scores based on your performance in the test. But it is important to carefully use your results and cautiously choose the college in the later Counselling procedures. A reputed college name is one of the priorities because it is expected to deliver its curriculum properly; have better labs and access to library; run training programs which help the overall development of students and prepare them to face the job market.
ii. Your interest in the course
Ask yourself what triggers your interest. The decision should be yours, but it should be a wisely evaluated preference than that which is influenced by popular notions or assumptions.Understand the kind of opportunities each of this career groups

iii. Geographical location
Think and discuss with your family, where would you like to spend your next 4 years of academic life. Climate, food, boarding facilities etc have to be considered based on your scenario.
iv. financial fit and
The fee structure of all the institutions are not the same, nor of all branches. And there is a possibility of incremental increase in fees over the years. Value for money has to be taken into consideration.
v. Your interests and long term aspirations
Think long term. Think future. Do not get carried away by any short term distractions or difficulties. You may be interested in a course which is upcoming then evaluate your opportunities and choose it. You can’t blindly go with public opinion.
vi. Campus facilities of the particular program
Most colleges post pictures about their campus on websites.Reach out to students studying there, if you know any.Research about the facilities provided, visit or try to gather information from other sources, so that you are happy and satisfied when you join there. All these have to be done before your counselling process kick starts.
vii. Opportunities available after college
The curriculum should help you in the long run, both technically and personally. Analyze the kind of opportunities you have. Study about what people do after completing a particular course. The kind of jobs or higher studies they can
pursue.
