The Centre is one of the oldest centers of the University of Hyderabad which was officially established in the year 1994, based upon the directions received from the UGC and MHRD. The Centre initially started with two diplomae, programs. Presently it is offering sixteen One year Post Graduate Diploma Programmes, which are employable, knowledge-oriented, and skill developing programs. These distance programs are also approved by the UGC-AICTE-DEC joint committee.
The University offers admission to students through a special entrance exam which it conducts in the month of May every year. This exam is conducted for the Integrated Master of Arts & Integrated Master of Sciences. However, the rest of the courses have various other criteria to get admission into the University. Integrated M Tech Courses are offered based on their CSAB ranking & IIT JEE ranking. CSAB stands for the Central Seat Allocating Board which considers the rank of the candidates in IITJEE Mains as the main criteria for allotting the seats.
Admission to Integrated M Tech is given as per JOSAA/CSAB guidelines, the candidate should satisfy at least one of these two criteria:
1) The candidate is within the category-wise top 20 percentile of successful candidates in their respective Class XII (or equivalent) examination of the respective stream and Board.
2) The candidate has secured a minimum of 75% (for GEN or OBC-NCL) or a minimum of 65% (for SC, ST, or PWD) of aggregate marks in Class XII (or equivalent) examination of the respective stream and Board.
CSABÂ – Central Seat Allocation Board will be conducting CSAB to provide admissions into the participating institutes (IIITs, NITs, and GFTIs) on the basis of JEE Main scores. CSAB will be conducted separately for the three channels – CSAB NEUT (for North-Eastern states and Union Territories), CSAB UT (for supernumerary seats in the Union Territories), and CSAB SFTI (Self-financed technical institutes). In the previous session, CSAB for SFTI was not conducted due to less participating institutes. The registration process for the different channels of CSAB will open separately in online mode. The candidates will have to complete the registration procedure to participate in the allotment process. Choice filling according to preference also has to be done. The authorities will allow the registered candidates as per their JEE Main merit, preferences, and availability of seats. The seat allotment process of CSAB will be held separately for three channels of admissions. Read the full article to know more information about CSAB.
