Exam Information for Engineering Students
ABOUT:
Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) MAIN is conducted by NTA for admission to Admission to B.E. / B.Tech / B.Arch / B.Planning. Courses in NITs, IIITs and CFTIs participating through Central Seat Allocation Board. It is also a prerequisite for JEE advanced.
ELIGIBILITY:
Admission in NITs, IIITs and CFTIs will be based on All India Rank subject to the condition that the candidate should have secured at least 75% marks in the 12th class examination, or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th class / Qualifying examination conducted by the respective Boards. For SC/ST candidates the qualifying marks would be 65% in the 12th class / qualifying examination

JEE Mains Cycle 1
Application process: 03.09.2019 to 30.09.2019
Exam date : Between 06.01.2020 to 11.01.2020
Results date : By 31st January, 2020
TEST DETAILS:
JEE Mains is 3 hr exam. It is a computer based exam.
It will be held in 2 shifts on a day. First Shift : 9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. Second Shift : 2.30 p.m. to 5.30 p.m
For results best of two cycle scores will be considered.
JEE Exam Pattern:

MCQ questions have negative marking: 20 Q in each section , +4, -1
Numerical Entry Questions : 5 Q in each section , +4 and no negative.
Exam fee:JEE Mains Paper-1 Comp based – General Boys (650)/Girls 325;
Information for 2nd Cycle of JEE Mains – April 2020 will be shared later.
The candidates who are declared eligible for JEE (Advanced) – 2020 will have to again register later on at the JEE (Advanced) website http://jeeadv.ac.in after the declaration of the JEE (Main)-2020 score.
